Dear Swim Team,

 My name is Chelsea Haser and I am the event coordinator for the youth swimming competition of the Georgia Games. The Georgia Games is a grassroots Olympic competition in the state of Georgia, and was started in the late 1980s to help Atlanta's bid for the 1996 Olympics. Since then it has become larger than the Olympic Games, and annually hosts events in over 40 sports.The Georgia Games swim meet is designed to be a large scale competition for ALL summer league and other recreational swimmers ages 18 and under. (There are no qualifying times) I truly believe this will be a great opportunity for Georgia youth to experience swimming in a larger meet and to have fun. I know I always enjoyed swimming in recreational meets when I was younger. It will also give many of them another opportunity to swim in a big meet before state or district meets.
