Neely Farm Swim Team Families,

We had a great meet against Pinewalk with a lot of amazing swims and good sportsmanship. The final score was Pinewalk 296 to Neely Farm 219. As Katie said, we've moved up in the league rankings since last year and have a much tougher schedule this year. The better team won on Thursday, so our hats off to them. We'll get after it again this week against Tuxford!

Many thanks to you our volunteer parents and terrific junior coaches. We had all of our swimmers make their races. We had our timers, judges, runners, computer scorers and ribbon workers do a great job and that allows our coaches to focus on our races and encouraging our swimmers to do their best!

Reminder: Afternoon practices are now from 4:00 to 5:15 pm for 7-and-older swimmers only.

RSVP for the Tuxford meet by 8:00 pm Sunday night

Our next meet is Thursday at Tuxford, located at 10800 Windham Way, Alpharetta, GA 30022.

As of Sunday afternoon we have only 62 out of 118 swimmers registered for our first meet next Thursday at Tuxford (see the list below.) We have 5 swimmers who are not attending and 51 swimmers who we need an RSVP from by the 8:00 pm deadline tonight to be able to enter them in the meet.

We also still need 12 volunteers. If your child swims in the meet, then you need to volunteer!

Please RSVP and volunteer by 8:00 pm tonight, Sunday, June 1, so you can get to get your swimmers in the meet.  We're trying to make this as easy as possible for you, so everything is just one click away:

Pinewalk meet recap

You can see the meet results here. We had to stop the meet early due to inclement weather and the need for many of our swimmers to get home early enough to go to school on Friday.

We had 53 of 69 individual races where a swimmer did a best time (not counting swimmers entered with NT.) That's over 75% and a terrific job!

Saturday stroke clinic

We had our first Saturday stroke clinic this weekend with over 30 swimmers attending. We had a strong focus on Freestyle and Breaststroke turns which will also help in Backstroke and Butterfly. We also worked on Breaststroke pulling. Our coaches will continue to monitor our swimmers' performances at meets to determine what best to focus on in these clinics to help our swimmers improve the most. Reminder: Stroke clinics are for 7-and-older swimmers only.
