Hello Mallard parents,

Tomorrow and Wed afternoon is Distance Day; Distance Day is not mandatory,  We have 71 swimmers up to the challenge! The Wed afternoon is a makeup for those kids who are at camp this week. There will NOT be a regular practice, so if your child has not RSVP'd for Distance Day, they do not need to attend practice tomorrow morning or Wednesday afternoon. Please ask your child to bring a water bottle, so they can take sips in between laps. 

Distance Day is a challenge from our coaches to push our swimmers to the max.  Each age group is assigned a distance to swim within an hour.  The swimmers cannot touch the bottom or stop.  The swimmers that meet their distance goal within an hour will receive a Distance Day shirt at the End of the Year Banquet. Each shirt will be tie dyed, and the swimmer's name and distance goal will be written on the shirt.

Distance Goals

• 6U -- 500 (10 laps or 20 lengths of the pool) 
• 7-8 -- 1500 (30 laps)
• 9-10 -- 2000 (40 laps)
• 11-12 -- 2500 (50 laps)
• 13 and older -- 2500 (50 laps in 45 minutes)

Swim Times -- for Distance day only

• Tue AM
  • 6U -- 8:00 - 9:00am
  • 7-8 -- 8:15 - 9:15am
  • 9-10 -- 9:00 - 10:00am​
  • 11-12 -- 9:15 - 10:15am
  • 13 & up -- 10:15 - 11:00am
• ​Wed PM
  • All ages -- 4:30 - 5:30pm

Below is a list of the swimmers who have RSVP'd to swim tomorrow morning.  The kids with a (W) will be swimming Wed afternoon
