This Week
Parents,
We have a busy week ahead so please read this entire email as it is full of helpful information.
Practices--We only have practices on Monday and Tuesday this week so please make every effort to attend. Our last practice of the year is Tues. 6/28
Meet--Tues. 6/28 at Glastonberry Pool, 3550 Pairpoint Pl. Johns Creek, 30022. Swimmers need to arrive by 4:30 pm. Remember, we need all volunteers to show up for their assigned shifts. Also, bullpen parents, please stay with your assigned age group for the entire shift you are working. Depending on how the meet is running we may vary how early we line kids up and we need the swimmers and the bullpen parents alert and ready to go.
End of season banquet--Wed. 6/29 6-8pm at the pool. We will be celebrating the end of our swim season with food for swimmers and their parents, along with awards. We need every family to bring a side dish to share. Please see the signup under the "Meets" section on the website. At this time we would also like to show our appreciation to our coaching staff. We will have bags for each of our coaches and ask that your children write thank you notes, draw a picture, or contribute some other token of appreciation to any coaches that they especially enjoyed.
Georgia Tech Divisionals--Thurs. 6/30. Swimmers should arrive at the GA Tech pool by 1:15pm. We have 87 Mighty Mallards participating this year! It's our largest participation to date and the kids will certainly enjoy the experience. This year our swimmers will be sitting in the upper section of the venue. Parking is $15 cash. Traffic is expected to be very heavy in the area due to construction on campus. Please visit www.atlantaswimming.com/NASAChampionships for complete information on parking options and a map of the area. Our team actually begins swimming at 3pm. Since we are sitting in the upper seating area please have your swimmer bring some activities that they can do while waiting for their events. There will not be room to run around as in our regular season meets. They may also want to bring snacks and drinks. Of course, no meet would be complete if we didn't ask for one more thing, yes, volunteers! We are required to bring volunteers for the meet. Please see the sign up genius at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0b4aa4a62dab9-asadivisionals/ This is also a great opportunity for any families who have makeup volunteer shifts to complete.
Team Picture--I'm not sure why the team picture didn't attach last time I sent it, so I'm trying again. Look for an article and picture in the July Neely News.
Lastly, and most importantly, a sincere thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, and other supportive adults in helping to make this swim season successful for our swimmers. We couldn't do it without all of your efforts! I realize this is a lot of information, so please don't hesitate to contact me with any concerns.
Karen
