Believe it or not, it's time to register for the Neely Mighty Mallard Swim Team!

SUIT FITTING

We scheduled the suit fitting earlier this year because some of our swimmers did not receive their suits by the first swim meet. The earlier we order our suits, the sooner we will receive them. In order to receive the free shipping, you must order your suit by March 12.  You may purchase suits from our website, please enter the code NEELY & place your order by March 12 to receive free shipping.  The swimsuits will be shipped to our swimsuit volunteer, and she will distribute at practice.

We have a new team swimsuit this year.  The Dolphin swimsuit that we have used for the past few years will no longer be available, so we had to select a new team suit. This new suit is similar in color, mostly black with green accents.  New this year, the girls' suit is available with thin or thick straps. The girls' suit cost $58.36, and the boys' jammer is $39.16.

MEET COACH MADISON

There will be a brief parent & meet the coaches meeting at 2:00 pm. 

We are also very excited about our new head coach, Madison Wolfe.  Madison is currently the assistant head swim coach at Berkmar High School where she is also a language arts teacher.  Prior to that, she was the head coach of the swim team at Muirfield Country Club in Ohio.  She swam collegiately for Cleveland State where she was the first Division I swimmer there to receive a scholarship.  She also holds five team records for her high school.  She is very excited to be our head coach and can't wait to meet everyone and get started.  ​

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Online registration will be open from March 5th through March 31st!  Our season begins May 8th and finishes July 1st.  Please visit our team website http://neelyfarm.swim-team.us to register.  Swim team is a great way for you and your kids to get connected with your neighbors and make new friends!

To be a member of the swim team, a child must be no older than 18 on June 1, 2017, and must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted. All registrants are given until May 25th to meet the swimming requirement. This guideline ensures the safety of the children entrusted to our care and allows us to best utilize our coaching resources. If you are uncertain whether your child will satisfy the swimming requirement, we encourage you to register him or her for the team and then enroll in swim lessons prior to the start of the season. There are many local swim programs, like the Fowler YMCA and Seaventures. Those swimmers who don't meet the swimming requirement will have the opportunity to register for our Duckling's program and will receive a refund of their registration fee (late fees and ASA fees are not refundable). 

JUNIOR COACHES

We are looking for some great teenage swimmers to mentor and teach our younger swimmers on the Neely Mallard Swim team.  The Junior Swim Coach position is open to registered Neely Mallard swimmers 14 -18 years of age. This position offers you a chance to become a role model to younger swimmers while also gaining valuable coaching experience.

The Junior Swim Coach is a Neely Mallard swim team member who works with the Head Coach, Assistant Coach and other coaches to provide stroke instruction, mentoring and motivation to members of the swim team.

You may pick up an application at the clubhouse on Sunday, March 5 between 1:00 and 3:00 pm or download from the website http://neelyfarm.swim-team.us. The application can be found under the Info tab.

Applications and resumes must be received no later than Friday, March 31st for consideration.  Interviews will take place in April after Spring Break.
