First Practice Today

May 8th

Hello Mallard Parents,

Swim Season is here; first practice is on TODAY!

  • Ages 6&Under -- 4:00pm
  • Ages 7-10 -- 4:30 - 5:30pm
  • Ages 11& Up -- 5:30 - 6:30pm

Remember all registration fees must be paid before your child can start practice.

We have a lot of information to share with you, so you and your children will have a fun and successful swim season.  Please read the entire email.

Each swimmer is required to sign the swimmer code of conduct. Please review the contract with your child(ren) so they understand the expectations. You may have all of your children sign the same code of conduct.  Please print out the signature page and bring it to practice.  We must have this signed in order for your child(ren) to swim in the first meet on June 2, 2017.

Please plan to attend the mandatory parent meeting:

  • Monday, May 22nd
  • 4:30 and 5:30, you only need to attend one meeting
  • NF Clubhouse

Swim suits & team shirts will be handed out at the meeting.

The Neely Swim Team is an ALL-VOLUNTEER program. It truly takes a village to run a swim meet.  To ensure the meet runs safely and smoothly, providing the best experience possible for our swimmers and spectators, one adult member of each family is REQUIRED to work every meet in which their child is swimming.

  1. Each family is required to sign-up for and work at least 1 session (1 volunteer role) per swim meet that your child swims. The regular season consists of 5 swim meets.
  2. Our home swim meets require extra volunteers, and we need EVERY FAMILY to volunteer to work 1 additional session (2 volunteer roles total) at 1 home meet, OR, one role in one of the following team events:
    • ​​Mock Meet
    • Team Kickoff Breakfast
    • Team Tie Dying
    • Team Movie Night
    • ASA Divisional
    • End of Season Swim Banquet 
    • Silver Linings Fundraiser

Volunteer sign-up will be open via the Neely Mallards website until May 26, 2017. Please volunteer for each meet that your child(ren) will be swimming.  On May 26th, the Volunteer Registration will close, and swim meet Volunteer positions will be assigned for those who missed the open registration.

Please note for all changes made after the SUNDAY prior to each swim meet, you are responsible for finding a substitute for your volunteer position.  Finally, failing to volunteer at any swim meet in which your child is swimming will result in your child being pulled from the meet.

If you have your own business or frequent a local business, please consider supporting the Neely Swim Team with your financial support. The Neely Swim Team is now a 501c3 non-profit organization, so all family sponsorships are tax deductible.

Sponsorship levels

  • Platinum level - $500 or above.....10" x 20" logo
  • Gold level - $300.....8" x 16" logo
  • Silver level - $200.....6" x 12" logo
  • Bronze level - $100.....4" x 8" logo
  • Family sponsorship - $100.....You can choose to have your family name on the banner

Great news! Back by popular demand:  Summer group youth tennis lessons, hosted by our very own Coach James Harrell. The kids can hit some balls after swim team practice a few days per week. It's great learning, exercise and fun.

We have several fun events planned for your family this summer. We've are continuing with Movie Night at the pool, themed swim meets, distance day, and a couple of new events too. I've attached the calendar and information sheet for you.
