I apologize for all the emails this weekend, but we have lots of information to share. This is our last week of summer swim team, and we are packing it with as much as possible. Please read the entire email carefully.

Neely Swim Team vs. Martin's Landing

Tomorrow is our last regular swim meet at home. Please not the swimmer check in time.

  • Theme: SUPERHERO
  • 3:45pm - Swimmer & Volunteer Check-in
  • 4:00pm - Home team warms up
  • 5:00pm - Duckling Exhibition Swim
  • 5:30pm - Meet starts

We are expecting 140 swimmers from Martin's Landing. We really need parents to provide some food. Please click here to sign up to bring food. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, and CPK box lunches.

ASA Division Meet

  • Thursday, June 29
  • 1:30pm - Swimmer Check in
  • 1:50 - 2:10pm - Warm ups
  • 3:00pm -- Meet begins

Volunteers

We still need volunteers for the Division Meet on Thursday: Girls timer, Girls Bullpen. Please contact Christine Stewart at [email protected].

Seating

The kids will need to look for Coach Madison and the other coaches on the deck. Parents will be sitting in the stands.  Please understand, the swim meet will be run in two different pools: the GIRLS pool will be closest to the diving well, the BOYS pool will be closest to the scoreboard. Here is a link to the seating chart and pool layout.

Parking

Parking at Georgia Tech is unfortunately not free.  If you would like to prepay for your parking and get your pass in advance, please visit the following link https://gatech.clickandpark.com/.  Please only buy the day you need and make sure you select the correct day (Day 1 is Wednesday, Day 2 is Thursday, Day 3 is Friday, Day 4 is Saturday), no one will need an All Day pass.  The cost for the advance passes is $12.00 (thanks to a service charge).  If you do not prepay for parking you will need cash to park, the cost is $15 at the gate.  Please be sure to share this info with your teams

Order of Events

Just a quick reminder, during divisionals we swim a different order of events than your regular dual meets.  The order is as follows:

  1. 6 & Under Free Relays - All 6 & Unders should go to the bullpen as soon as they are done swimming their relays to get lined up for their freestyle swim.
  2. All Medley Relays
  3. 6& Under 25 Free -  All 6 & Unders swimming the backstroke should go to the bullpen as soon as they are done swimming freestyle to get lined up for their to backstroke swim.
  4. All Remaining Freestyle Relay Events
  5. 6 & Under Backstroke - After this event the 6 & Unders are done swimming.
  6. All Remaining individual events  (Short Free, Long Free, Back, IM, Breast, Fly)

End of the Season Banquet

  • Friday, June 30
  • 6:00 - 8:30pm
  • Neely Farm Pool

We are still in need of SEVERAL drink and food items. Please click here to sign up. Please remember, EVERY family is required to bring a food or drink item to the banquet. Thank you to the Gutierrez family for donating the meat, beans and rice.


ASA Finals Championship

This session is for the overall top 20 relay times, top 50 10 and under individual times, and top 40 11 and over individual times from the all of the divisional meets. The last divisional meet is Friday night. If you have qualified for the Finals Championship, you will find a balloon attached to your mailbox Saturday morning. An email will also be send out late Friday night.

The Championship meet is divided into two sessions:  10& Under, 11& Up

  • Saturday, July 1
  • 10:30am - 10 & Under Finals Meet begins
  • 4:00pm - 11 and Up Finals Meet begins

We are required to provide ONE VOLUNTEER (Ribbons/Award Worker) for both sessions of the Championship meet. If your child does qualify for the Championship meet, please consider volunteering. If you would like to volunteer, please email Christine Stewart at [email protected].
