🏆ASA Championship - Thursday, June 25th at 4:00pm - at Georgia Tech🏆

If you’re new to the swim team, this is the Championship Meet for the season which takes place at Georgia Tech. Our kids have the opportunity to swim in the same pool as the 1996 Olympics! Last year, we placed 5th of 19 teams! We would love for everyone to participate – the more athletes we have, the more events we can enter, which means more points and a higher score/place for our team. Other neighborhoods that are in Gwinnett County Swim have to qualify; while ASA allows all swimmers to participate. Even if your child isn't a “fast swimmer", they can still participate. This is a great experience for the kids and we are hoping everyone will join the fun!

Timing: Meet Starts at 4:00 pm; Arrival Time: TBD, but probably around 2:00 pm (all teams get to warm-up in the pool before it begins)

If you are attending, we are asking each family to pay half of the entry fee ($25/swimmer). The total cost is actually $50/swimmer, but we have raised enough money to allow the Swim Team to pay a portion of the fee so that more swimmers can participate. However, if you RSVP and cancel after your swimmer has been entered, you will be charged the full amount of $50.

• Unfortunately, no late entries are allowed and the fees are non-refundable. The ASA is strict on any changes when there are 100+ teams involved!
• Add a note of which 2 events you want your child to swim when you RSVP. Coach Sydney will do her best to honor it, but appreciates the swimmers’ willingness to swim where needed. There are relay events, but those depend on enough swimmers attending to create relays.
• RSVP and payment are due by Wednesday, June 17th at 5:00 pm

🏁Tuesday, 6/16 - Distance Day at practice. Swimmers are challenged to swim a set number of laps based on their age group. There is a fun reward for swimmers who meet the goal! The schedule for this day is altered to give swimmers enough time to complete the challenge.

8:00 - 8:45 - 13+, Camp

9:00 - 10:00 - 6 & under and 7/8s

10:00 - 11:00 - 9/10s and 11/12s

*Afternoon practices will also do the Distance Day challenge (regular schedule)

**NO DUCKLINGS practice due to extended distance day practice times.

Meet info: We are AWAY at Country Club of the South

• Time: Arrive at 4:30; Warmup at 5:00, Meet starts at 5:30
• Address: Country Club of the South Rec Center: 9455 Old Southwick Pass, Johns Creek, GA 30022
• Gated Entrance: CCS is a gated community. Visitors must stop at the gate, show a valid ID and name the swimmer they are bringing or are there to watch (they will have a list). Enter theough either the Barnwell gate (9289 Barnwell Road) or the Old Alabama gate (4250 Old Alabama Rd).
