ARRIVAL - Our team will meet outside of the Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center at the red statue at 2:00pm and we will enter together.

• There is a presidential debate in Atlanta at the CNN Center at 9:00pm that is going to complicate traffic due to street closings. 10th STREET WILL BE CLOSED, so use Waze or Google Maps. Address: Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center - 750 Ferst Drive
• Here are several alternatives per Georgia Tech since 10th Street exit will be closed:
  • Use the North Ave. exit to get to the pool and Ferst Drive. Exit at North Ave. and head west toward campus.
  • The exit to 14th St. and 17th St. from the connector will remain open, but traffic will be diverted at 14th St. You can take 14th St. west to Northside Drive or Hemphill Ave to get to the pool.
  • You can use I-75 and use the Northside Drive. It is a straight shot from there to Hemphill Ave. which dead ends into Ferst Drive.
  • Please plan extra time into your arrival and use your traffic apps to help navigate the best route and get a good estimate on how long it will take to arrive.  *See attached map

PARKING - Closest parking lot requires a pre-purchased pass. Parking on Thursday is available in theW10 lot attached to the CRC (Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center). You MUST pre-purchase parking for this lot. You cannot pay at the gate. To purchase parking, go to https://gatech.parkmobile.io/events. Overflow parking and parking for people who did not pre-purchase a spot will be in the W02 lot, which is the student center lot located at 355 Ferst Drive and is a short walk to the pool.

PARENT JOBS - Elizabeth Magee is sending a separate email about parent jobs.

SEATING: 

• Boys will swim on the left side of the pool and girls will swim on the right side.
• Swimmers will sit together with their team; parents will sit separately from the team.
• Once your swimmer has finished their last event, we will text you to arrange a hand-off for your child so they can sit with you. You may leave once they have finished swimming or stay for the end of the meet to cheer on the team and wait for the team results!  Elizabeth Magee is the contact person managing returning swimmers to their parents. PACK SNACKS/DRINKS FOR YOUR SWIMMER - Please pack some snacks for your swimmer. We are not providing snack bags this year. Coolers are not allowed.

ORDER OF MEET: 6 & under and ALL relays are at the beginning of the meet to contain the chaos. Here is the order of events:

1. 6&under Free Relays 
2. older kids Medley Relays
3. 6 & under 25 Free
4. older kids Free Relays 
5. 6&under Back
6. older kids short Free
7. older kids long FR....normal meet event order (the confusing part is that the event numbers on the heat sheet will not be in the correct order
