RSVP for Tuesday's Meet NOW, please!

Hi!

Thank you for all your help with the meet on Thursday and throughout the week.

VERY IMPORTANT: Please RSVP for Tuesday’s meet against Glastonberry NOW. I believe this will be our most competitive meet since we are ranked first in our division and they are ranked second. So please give me some time to organize the optimal lineup. Additionally, if your child wants to swim a particular event or does not want to swim a particular event, please let me know. No guarantees since I put together lineups based on what I think is best for the team as a whole.

Also, even though we are first in our division, please remind the kids of our goals: 1) Improve our Swimming (so no DQs), 2) Have Fun, and 3) Be Good Teammates!

Attached are the meet results from Thursday’s meet against Double Gate WITH our 95 IMPROVED SWIMS. We won: 415-381. The official said we had much fewer DQs than the other team!

Attached below is the heat sheet and personal best times in PDF form.

Our costume winner for the FAVORITE MOVIE/BOOK CHARACTER theme was James and Abby S.! Next week’s theme is USA.

Below are our hardworking, noteworthy swimmers of the week:

6&u girl

Ella Kate

This girl has been working supper hard and coming to camp practice each week!

She never complains in practice and always applies the feedback the coaches give her in order to get better! And last night when we were behind in the relay she gave it her all and managed to win the relay for her team!

This boy also comes to camp practice every week and has improved so much overall! He’s respectful in and out of practice and he gave it his all in last nights meet and we saw all the improvement when he swam!

7/8 girls

Each season since ducklings this girl has improved tremendously! She is consistently giving it her all in practice and at the meets! And we have loved watching her grow up and see all her improvement!

This boy will rarely miss a practice and will never stop giving everything he does his all! We were so proud of him because last night he was nervous before one of his events but not only crushed it but he got first place!

This girl is always so sweet to coaches and swimmers during practice and always try’s her hardest! She swam up for us in the relay last night and was supper nervous but she kept up with other 13/14 girls and we are so proud of her!

9/10 boys

Matthew

This boy has been working so hard during practice specifically on inpriving his breaststroke, and his hard work is paying off and we saw that in last nights meet when he left all he had in the pool!

11/12 girls

Mara

This girl swims up with the older kids in the morning and she works hard to keep up with them! Even though she’s nervous before some of her events she always gives everything her all! She is kind and humble and we are so proud of her and all her improvement!

11/12 boy

George

This boy is always willing to learn new things and apply all the things we teach him! He shows up to camp practice each week, he is supper respectful and always ready to swim! And last night we saw showing great sportsmanship and cheering on his teammates!

13 & U girl

River

This girl is such a good sport during practice, not only in her own but also helping out with the younger kids and ducklings when the coaches needed extra help!

13 & U boy

Stephen

This swimmer’s passion never fails to get him up in the morning to get to the pool before all the coaches to set up the lane lines. He puts in as much work as a coach for the swim team and he puts in the same amount of effort in practice.
