Hello everyone!

Spirit Night at Jason's Deli in the Forum tonight from 5:00-9:00 PM. Hope to see you there! To prevent any confusion and crying about the relays, please know that if your child does not feel comfortable swimming up an age group, just text me at (803)767-9664 TODAY. It is okay for them to not swim up for an age group. I will not be upset. 

The next two meets are probably going to be very close, so I wanted to GUARENTEE that we scored points every event. But I want your child to feel APPROPRIATELY CHALLENGED, not panicked. I moved up swimmers who I believe are capable of swimming longer distances comfortably. 

Now, the reason why several swimmers this meet has been moved up an age group for relays is to help GUARENTEE our team score points in case our other relay in the same event gets DQed. 

I have attached the rule book blurb below, but basically for all relays, both teams are guaranteed either 7 or 3 points UNLESS all theirs relay in that event gets DQed. See scenarios below:

Scenario 1) If Neely Farm's 11-12 Boys A Relay DQs and Neely Farm DOES NOT have a 11-12 Boys B Relay - Neely Farm will have 0 points and Double Gate earns 7 points automatically

Scenario 2) If Neely Farm's 11-12 Boys A Relay DQs and Neely Farm DOES have a 11-12 Boys B Relay - Depending on who got first, Neely Farm is GUARENTEED 3 or 7 points and Double Gate is GUARENTEED 3 or 7 points. Even if Neely Farms B relay gets last place behind all of Double Gates A, B, and C relay, we are GUARENTEED 3 points. Of course we want to win though. 

But if your child does not feel comfortable swimming up an age group, just text me at (803)767-9664 TODAY. It is okay for them to not swim up for an age group. I will not be upset.
