Swim Team Info for week of 5/28
Happy First Day of Summer Swim! We enjoyed seeing many of you at today's Kick-off Breakfast. Thank you to Peachy Corners Cafe for donating coffee for our breakfast and for last week's Spirit Night Boba Stand at our Mock Meet! Huge thanks to Sarah Deyton for organizing today's breakfast! Here is information for this week:
Spirit Wear - Pickup your team shirt and swim caps at practice this week if you haven't already done so. Thanks to Jill Brown for designing this year's shirt! Tip - Write your child's name in their shirt, so it doesn't get lost during meets.
Spirit Night is this Wednesday at the Rivermont Station Chick-fil-A. (5:30pm - 7:30pm) Use the code "Mallards" in the mobile app to ensure that your order counts towards our total. (see attached flyer for info)
INFO FOR THIS WEEK'S HOME MEET 5/31:
Team picture before the meet - Arrive by 4:00 pm for the team picture. Swimmers need to wear their black swim team shirt. Warm-ups are at 4:30 pm. The meet starts at 5:30 pm.
RSVP your swimmers - Please go ahead and RSVP for the rest of the season's meets on the website. If your swimmer cannot come, that's okay, just select "not attending." That would be a HUGE help to the coaches.
Volunteers - Thanks to everyone who has already signed up! There are still 12 open spots, so please take a look (linked here) (We need 6U girls bullpen, Grillmaster shift 1, Head timers (2), Merchandise Sales table (1), There are a few new volunteer tasks - Concessions donations: (3) Bring cooked buttered noodles in a crock pot (you will leave it in the clubhouse and pick up after the meet is over); (2) Bring watermelon cut up in large triangle slices)
Concessions: We will have Moe's Original BBQ, Pizza from Mona Lisa, buttered noodles, as well as burgers and hot dogs from our Grillmasters. Bring credit card or cash for our concession stand.
Theme for this week's meet is "Favorite Athlete".
FUN Friday, 5/31 (9:00 - 10:30 am) Swimmers will eat donuts, receive ribbons and awards from the previous night's meet.
Saturday, 6/1 - Stroke Clinic (9:00 - 10:00 am) Swimmers who would like some additional time to work on their stroke may attend this optional stroke clinic.
