Meet our Coaches!
Madison Wolfe - Head Coach (2018)
I am very excited to begin this adventure with the Neely Farm Mallards! This is my second summer coaching at Neely. I moved to Georgia two years ago and I love it, especially the summer. We have some very exciting plans for the upcoming season.
I began swimming at the age of 5. I swam for the Westerville Aquatic Club and Olentangy High School in Ohio growing up. I attended Miami University of Ohio where I pursued my English Education degree.
I am now a Special Education Language Arts teacher for 9th and 11th grade at Berkmar High School in Gwinnett County. I am a swim coach for Berkmar, as well as the Head Boys Cross Country Coach. I am looking forward to my second season with Neely!
Elizabeth Sacca - Assistant Coach (2018)
Elizabeth Sacca has been swimming with the Mighty Mallards for the past 13 years and swimming year round with the Fowler YMCA since she was 11 years old. She began coaching for Neely Farms when she was 15, her first year spent as a junior coach and the next year as an assistant coach. This will be her second year as an assistant coach. Elizabeth is an assistant coach for her YMCA team and a swim instructor as well. She loves the sport and can’t wait to share this swim season with all of you!
Jon Hunt Ficken - Assistant Coach (2018)
Jon Hunt Ficken began his swimming career as a Neely Farm Mallard in 2005 (his 6 & Under 25 Free Record still stands!). Fast-forwarding 12 years, Jon Hunt has continued swimming for Neely Farm, and has become an accomplished swimmer for Wesleyan School. Jon Hunt lettered all four years and just completed his senior year as one of the captains. As a Wesleyan swimmer, Jon Hunt earned top 10 times in the 50 Free at the Georgia High School State Meet in 2016, 2017, and 2018. He added top 10 times in the 100 free in 2017 and 2018. Grace Berg - Assistant Coach (2018)
My name is Grace Berg and I am 18 years old. I am a rising college freshman and am (at the moment) undecided about where I will be attending in the fall.
I have lived in Neely Farm my whole life & I have been on swim team here since 2005. I have watched two of my older sisters coach for the team and always wanted to be able to coach myself. I was a junior coach for the team in 2016 & 2017 and I'm thrilled to be an assistant coach this year!
I am super excited to spend my last year of swimming for the team working with y’all!
Charis Stanfield - Assistant Coach (2018)
Charis Stanfield is a 17 year old Berkmar High School graduate who is ecstatic about joining the Neely Mallards Swim Team as an assistant coach! She finished off her high school swimming career as a captain and doesn’t want the excitement to end there. Swim has been a part of her life since her freshman year, and since then, her love for the sport and the community has only grown. Swimming provided her with an outlet incomparable to anything else, and she is excited to be able to pick up the reigns and show others the incredible happenings of swim team. Here’s to a great season!
Alex Whiteside - Junior Coach (2018)
I’m currently a freshman at Norcross High School. I’ve been swimming year round since I was nine; the last three years with Swim Atlanta in John’s Creek. This will be my fifth season with the Mallards, and tenth year on a summer swim team. My family attends NorthPoint Community Church, where I currently attend InsideOut and am an UpStreet leader for a third grade small group. I’m excited for the opportunity to be a junior coach for the Neely Mallards this summer and want to help the team grow.
Parker Bush - Junior Coach (2018)
Hi! My name is Parker and I am 17 years old and I am a rising senior at Norcross High School. (geez, that’s scary to say) I currently work as the Community Service Director for my church and constantly find myself making plans to go out and help others or hold fundraising events in our community. Following my senior year, I will be attending either the University of Southern California or Florida State University to pursue an International Business Degree in Spain.
This is my second year coaching for the Neely Farm Mallards and my 12th year swimming for the team. The pool is like a second home to me, and I love getting to meet all the swimmers and their families! I am thrilled to get the chance to return as a coach this summer and continue to work with everybody!
A Few Fun Fact About Me: My favorite color is blue, I played club level soccer for almost 12 years before injuring my knee, I am allergic to apples, I love going on Mission Trips, and I am constantly listening to music.
